Mrs. Willie Mae Cox, age 104 of Macclenny, FL and formerly of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with her family by her side. Mrs. Cox was a retired seamstress who enjoyed shopping and traveling. She loved cooking and spending time with her friends at the senior citizen center and always put others before herself. She loved attending the West Ward Street Church of God where she was a member. She especially enjoyed playing a game of Uno while spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter: Vivian Cox of Macclenny, Florida; brother: Russell (Eleanor) Pridgen of Broxton, GA; sister: Jean Taylor Westcoat of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Otis Cox; son: Cecil Cox; daughter: Mary Evelyn Vickers; parents: John and Janie Rish Pridgen; brothers: Guy Pridgen, Carlnell Pridgen, and Talmadge Pridgen; sisters: Ruby Cowart, Juanita Day Tanner, and Louise Harper. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, February 20, 2015 at the West Ward Street Church of God, Douglas, GA with Reverend Leroy Spivey and Reverend Cary Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, Douglas, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
