William Henry Redding

William Henry Redding, known affectionately as “Billy” or “Bill”, age 78 of San Mateo passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka. Billy was born in Palatka to proud parents, Lonnie and Minnie Redding, Sr. He would attend Bradford County Schools and was a graduate of Bradford High School. He was a self employed telecommunications contractor for the majority of his adult life. In his spare time, Bill loved boating and fishing. He loved the Lord and his family and was one of the most generous men you’d meet. If Bill was your friend, you had a friend for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Brenda (Aycock) Redding in 2016.

He is survived by his son: Eric (Megan) Redding of Jacksonville; step-children: Starla (Cory) Hershey of Hastings and Rhonda (Van) Norris; granddaughter: Emma; step-grandchildren: Skyla, Cort, Ashely, and Amy; step-great grandchildren: Lincoln and Lennox; siblings: Joy (Ronnie) Beck of Middleburg, Lonnie (Alethia) Redding, Jr. of Starke, and Jerry (Carol) Redding and Roger (Karen) Redding both of Lawtey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Final memorialization will be by cremation.
