Walter Cavanaugh

Mr. Walter George Cavanaugh, age 65 of Glen St. Mary and formerly of Hampton, Florida, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. Mr. Cavanaugh was a retired truck driver and a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters: Nancy (Brian) Griffis of Glen St. Mary and Robin (David) Cooper of Starke; son: M.P. Carter of Starke; brother: Bill (Eileen) Cavanaugh of Pennsylvania; sisters: Nancy (Paul) Hrubik of Ohio, Charlotte (Connie) Cardillo of Pennsylvania, Darlene (Richard) Campbell of Plant City, Florida, and Barb (Murph) Campbell of Ohio; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Rose Cavanaugh; brother: Jim Cavanaugh; and sisters: Jean Heatherington, Rose Koby, Eileen Eaton, and Irene Mylnek. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny, with Reverend John Hodges officiating.
