Vivian Cox

Ms. Vivian Cox, age 78 of Macclenny, Florida and formerly of Douglas, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was born in Broxton, GA to the late Otis and Willie Mae Pridgen Cox. She was a member of Carver Baptist Church in Douglas but enjoyed attending Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny with her family, who she loved spending time with. She loved shopping and crafts and especially enjoyed re-purposing thrift store finds. Ms. Cox also loved gardening and spent time as a floral arranger at Thomas Flowers in Douglas before moving to Macclenny. She is survived by her son: Mitch (Latrelle) Taylor of Glen St. Mary, Florida; daughter: Vicki (Roann) Padgett of Glen St. Mary, Florida; grandchildren: Deidra (Chris) Rhoden, Natalie Wagoner, Brandon Taylor and Brett Taylor; great grandchildren: Taiven, Brody, and Gunner Rhoden; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Cecil Cox; and sister: Evelyn Vickers. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend David Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
