Virginia L. Rolph age 79 of Macclenny passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home. She was born on November 11, 1941 in DeFuniak Springs to the late Mr. Albert and Lora (Nelson) Collinsworth. Virginia would work for over thirty year as a dental assistant, working for several years for Dr. Richard Johnson in Macclenny. With her husband Mr. Buddy, they built the Travelodge in Macclenny and ran the hotel for seven years. Ms. Virginia was very involved with different organizations, including being a Past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star and a Mother Advisor for the Order of the Rainbow Girls. She also loved to travel. Above all, Ms. Virginia was a loving mother and dedicated wife who always put others before herself. She was a friend to all and never was a bad word spoken above Ms. Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, multiple siblings and close cousins, a daughter: Lora Kay Rolph, and her beloved husband of sixty-two years: Mr. Steve “Buddy” Rolph.

She is survived by her son: Mark (Tina) Rolph of Macclenny; daughter: Delores Casteel of Gainesville; niece: Gerri Maddox Oosterhoudt of Lake City; nephew: Ty Turner; brother: T.L. (Sue) Curry of Ponce De Leon; sisters: Susie Steele of Crestview and Ellen Hall of North Carolina; as well as other extended family members and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at First Christian Church with Pastor Doug Allen officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral services at Macedonia Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Buddy.
