Venita Douberly Milton

Ms. Venita Douberly Milton, age 87, of Macclenny, FL passed away Wednesday, November 27th in Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Ms. Venita was born in Olustee, FL to the late L.W. and Daisy Douberly. She was a lifelong resident of Baker County and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Macclenny. Ms. Venita worked as a Bookkeeper for many years at Citizens Bank, Pineview Golf Course and Office Manager at Pineview Chevrolet until her retirement. She loved all things Florida Gators, the Atlanta Braves and cheering on the Wildcats. Ms. Venita cherished her family. Her favorite days were the ones spent cooking and eating Sunday dinner with her children and grandchildren. Ms. Venita is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Jackie Harris and Jean Sapp. She is survived by her son, Jay Milton (Kevin) of Sanderson, FL: daughters, Melody Coggin (Doug) and Holly Lee (Mark) both of Macclenny, FL. Ms Venita also leaves behind five grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Venita will be held on Monday, December 2nd at 3 P.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home with Pastor Franklin Griffis officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 2 to 3 P.M.(one hour prior to service). Interment will follow the funeral service in Woodlawn Cemetery.
