Veatrice Diane Crockett

Veatrice Diane Crockett, 75 of Macclenny passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. A lifelong resident of Baker County, Veatrice was born on December 23, 1949 to Mr. William and Frances (Ware) Crockett, Sr. She worked for many years as a hairdresser and was also a co-owner of Glen’s Wrecker Service. Veatrice loved being around her family and taking care of her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed Willie Nelson music and was a member of Road to Calvary Church. She will be remembered as a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (William) Hines and Carmie (James Scott) McInarnay both of Macclenny; sons-in-love, Kenny Miracle and Kirk Miracle; grandchildren, Monika (Michael) Dowie, Jonathan (Shellie) Lundquist, Vicki Branch, Kristin Lundquist, Amber (Dustin) Scott Phillips, Rachel (Jacob) Luten, and Noah Hines; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mackenzie, and Aria Dowie; brothers, Boynton Lee (Alana Starling) Crockett and Billy Crockett, Jr. both of Macclenny; special nieces and nephews, William Crockett, III, Marcie Crews, Charles Crockett, and Angie Rodriguez; as well extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
