Mr. Thomas J. "Tommy" Holland, age 63 of Lake City, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. A thirty year Columbia County resident, Mr. Holland was originally from Natchez, Mississippi. He loved working outdoors as a land surveyor for many years. He also spent some time as an air conditioner installer. Mr. Holland was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed deep sea fishing. He will be remembered as a friendly, outgoing man who never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years: Elizabeth Holland; son: James (Tasha) Holland of Lake City; daughters: Amy (Micah) Hanks of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Jessica Holland (Rich) of Callahan, Florida, and Frances Driggers (Daniel) of Lake City; sister: Rita (James) Fuglaar of Houston, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and dear friends: Billy and Melinda Johnson of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Rita Holland; brother: Clay Holland; and grandson: Damien McDonald. A celebration of his life will be held 1:00-3:00pm, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Alligator Lake Park in Lake City. Please come share your favorite memories of Tommy.
