Steven Short

Mr. Steven R. Short, age 59 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was employed with Auld & White Constructors, Inc. for over thirty years and was a construction superintendent at the time of his death. Mr. Short was a master carpenter and had renovated many buildings in Baker County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and living the country life. He was a gun enthusiast, liked watching old westerns and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife: Ann Short; son: Scott Short of Ohio; daughter: Michelle Short of Tennessee; step sons: Terry (Deidre) Rhow and William Rhow, all of Jacksonville; brother: Jim (Joann) Short of Virginia; best friend: Todd (Janet) Beagle of Glen St. Mary; and his "girls": Mia and Gizmo. Six grandchildren also survive. A celebration of his life will be held 6:00pm, Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend E. A. Holbrooks officiating.
