Steven Douglas Thomas

Mr. Steven Douglas Thomas Jr., age 31 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017. A lifelong Baker County resident, Steven grew up attending Baker County schools and was a member of the Baker County High School graduating class of 2004. He was employed by Jax Underground Utilities, Inc. in Jacksonville. Steven loved music, singing, and playing guitar. He also enjoyed going fishing, cooking out, and watching football. He was a very outgoing young man who had a heart for his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife: Chelsea Greene of Jacksonville: parents: Steven D. "Doug" and Lisa Jacobs Thomas, Sr. of Glen St. Mary; stepchildren: Avery and Colt Brown of Jacksonville; sister: April Thomas (Dean Johns) of Glen St. Mary; grandparents: Jerry and Phyllis Jacobs, Sr. of Jacksonville and Bobby and Martha Thomas of Glen St. Mary; uncles: Jeffrey Thomas of Glen St. Mary and Pete Thomas of Perry, Florida; aunts: Debbie Harvey and Carolyn Davis, both of Glen St. Mary; niece: Kaylynn Johns of Glen St. Mary; nephew: Brayden Johns of Glen St. Mary; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Carolyn Bailey, great grandparents: Lester and Ophelia Jacobs: great grandfather: Franklin "Spring" Carter; and uncles: Jerry Jacobs, Jr. and Ronnie Jacobs. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny with Pastor David Thomas officiating.
