Stephen Arthur Auger

Stephen Arthur Auger, age 70 of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Custead Hospice Care Center in Orange Park. Stephen was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 12, 1951 to the late Mr. Larry and Donna (Hoover) Auger. He would eventually receive his associates degree and would work for many years as a cosmetic mechanic. He had spent the last thirty years in the Jacksonville area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin. In his spare time he enjoyed building and tinkering on cars and being in the outdoors. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Catherine Rinn; and his beloved wife of thirty-one years: Mrs. Joyce Auger.

He is survived by his daughter: Michelle Bazer of North Bend, Nebraska; daughter-in-law: Kerri Gillespie; step-grandchildren: Emily and Nathanael Bruckner and Aubree Oxborrow; brothers: Philip Rinn, Timothy Rinn, and Doug Auger; as well as numerous other extended family members.

Memorialization will be by cremation and a memorial service will be held at later date.
