Stanley Russel Lucas, 59 of Macclenny went home to Jesus on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Acosta Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville.
Mr. Lucas was lifelong resident of Baker county born to the late Mr. Clyde and Jessie (Parker) Lucas on February 2, 1960.
Stanley attended the University of North Florida where he obtained his bachelors degree in computer science. He worked for many years as a fire tower operator, serving his community thru this position.
Mr. Lucas lived what most would consider a private life. He enjoyed watching historical documentaries and was known to be some what of a history buff! He loved to rattle off trivial knowledge that he had gathered over the years to his family and friends. He loved his family and friends, as well as animals.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macclenny.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sisters: Karen (John) Rambo and Vivian Lucas all of Macclenny; brothers: Raymond Lucas of Macclenny and Warren (Christine) Lucas of Jacksonville; nieces: Stephanie Lucas Thorpe of Orlando, Melissa (Jacob) Hedrick of Tallahassee, and Caroline (Andy) Hazelton of Miami; nephew: Matthew Rambo of Macclenny; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
He will be laid to rest in Manntown Cemetery.
