Solomon Burnsed

Mr. Solomon James Burnsed, age 79 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015. Born in Moniac, Georgia to the late Edmund J. and Altia Raulerson Burnsed, he lived in Baker County the majority of his life. Mr. Burnsed retired after thirty seven years of service as a road inspector for the State of Florida Department of Transportation. He enjoyed gardening and going fishing. He was meticulous in keeping his yard and tending to flowers. His greatest love was his home and family. He is survived by his wife: Sarah Burnsed; son: Jeffery Scott Burnsed of Glen St. Mary; sister: Jeanette Moody of Lake City, and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Elmo Burnsed and Lester Burnsed and sisters: Donnella Pierce, Doris Starling, Dorothy Crews, Marie Crawford, and Almieta Crews. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Friday, November 27, 2015 at Macclenny Church of God with Pastor Shannon Conner and Reverend Clyde Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
