Robert Perez

Mr. Robert D. Perez Sr., age 88 of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015. Mr. Perez was a retired carpenter who loved building and working with his hands. He enjoyed doing home repairs and going fishing. He especially loved sharing his faith, spreading the love of God, and spending time with his family. Mr. Perez was a proud US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife: Gloria Perez; son: Joe Perez of Jacksonville; daughters: Ann Carlson and Sally (Danny) Isom, all of Jacksonville; brothers: Steve (Phyllis) Perez of Jacksonville, Gus (Phyllis) Perez of Maine, Vincent Perez of Hilliard, Mike Perez of Orange Park, and Richard Perez of Macclenny; sisters: Isabelle (Gil) Hendrickson of Hilliard, Angela (Bud) Plath of Orange Park, Agnes (C.W.) Rowe of Bryceville, and Helen Standish of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son: Robert "Bobby" Perez Jr.; brother: Charlie Perez; and sisters: Mary Perez, Jesse Turner, and Blanche Nettles. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Monday, June 8, 2015 at Monument Point Fellowship Church, Jacksonville with Reverend Ivan Geary and Bud Plath officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
