Mr. Robert R. Bell Sr., age 72 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born in Hartford, Alabama to the late William and Mary Altman. He was a twenty-five year Baker County resident and a veteran of the Army National Guard. Mr. Bell was a retired sales manager for Transamerica Transportation Services. He was an avid sportsman and outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He loved watching baseball, Florida Gator football and Jacksonville Jaguar football. He enjoyed working in the yard and talking with friends. He loved spending time with his family and his greatest joy was spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Robert (Teresa) Bell Jr. and Freddy (Lisa) Bell all of Macclenny, Paul (Lori) Bell of Glen St. Mary and Brad (Jenny) Bell of Green Cove Springs; daughter: Emily (Ronnie) Burroughs of Callahan; brother-in-law: Johnny (Beth) Phillips of Starke; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children: Judy P. Phillips. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend Albert Starling officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny.
