Rita Davis

Ms. Rita Faye Davis, age 58 of Sanderson, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Ms. Davis was a lifelong Baker County resident and a member of Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church. She was very family oriented and tried to take care of everyone in her family. She loved being outdoors, planting flowers, and was known for her "green thumb" ability to make anything grow. She loved collecting and displaying family photographs and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandbabies. She is survived by her daughter: Lisa (Ben) Alexander of Waynesville, GA; daughter-in-law: Lori Davis of Sanderson; mother: Mrs. Shirley Davis of Sanderson; brothers: Ricky Davis, Buddy (Carolyn) Davis, and Jerry (Cheryl) Davis all of Sanderson; and sister: Cindy (Eddy) Sanders of Sanderson. Seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her father: Elmus "Bud" Davis Sr.; son: Scott Davis; and sister-in-law: Sharon Davis. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, March 18, 2016 at Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church with Reverend Eddy Sanders and Pastor Tim Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the church.
