Richard Sherman Raulerson of St. George passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born on February 6, 1945 to Mr. Sherman and Helen Raulerson in Jacksonville. Richard was a dedicated longtime employee of CSX Railroad, holding a multitude of positions until his retirement. In his retirement, he was a hardworking farmer and cattleman. Richard loved to deer and bear hunt, a hobby he shared with friends and his family. He was also a “rocker” of all his grand and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by mother and father.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Penny Raulerson; children: Brad (Tracey) Raulerson, Judd (Vickie) Raulerson, Dushayne (Felicia) Raulerson and Amanda (Ronnie) Moran; grandchildren: Jessica (Steven) Goff, Seth (Whitnie) Raulerson, Travis (Kaitlynn) Moran, Hampton (Ashley) Raulerson, Reed (Kellie) Raulerson, Tyler (Kelly) Moran, Danielle Raulerson, Jarett (Abigail) Raulerson, and Taylor Raulerson; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home on Friday, June 21, 2024. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Sands Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. James Conner and Rev. Richard Fish officiating.
