Richard Eugene Collett

Mr. Richard Eugene Collett, age 49 of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Orange Park Medical Center.
Richard was born to the late Mr. Alvin and Faye (Luke) Collett and spent most of his life in Jacksonville.
He spent the majority of his days as a handy man, working jobs and helping people however he could. He was known as an honest and kind-hearted man, often referred to as a "gentle giant". He loved people and had an easy going spirit.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Allen Collett; sisters: Lola Green and Joyce Collett.
He leaves behind his brothers: James Collett of Macclenny, Charles Collett and Hershell Collett both of Jacksonville; sister: Diane Collett of Jacksonville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
