Richard Bruce Gowdy

Mr. Richard B. Gowdy, age 58 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. Mr. Gowdy was born in Jacksonville and was a construction worker all of his adult life. A twenty five year Baker County resident, he enjoyed cookouts and spending time on the river with friends.  Mr. Gowdy was an avid Florida State Seminole fan and will be remembered as always willing to help anyone, in any way he could. He is survived by his brothers: Curtis (Wendy) Miller of Glen St. Mary, Eric (Tina) Miller and Cleveland (Laci) Miller, all of Macclenny; and sisters: Candi Renee of Glen St. Mary, April Conner of Macclenny, and Sherry Miller of Metter, Georgia. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Cleveland and Rosa Shortridge Miller.
