Paul Winson Suggs, 87 of St. George, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, February 14, 2025. Born to Mr. Alvie and Ida (Combs) Suggs on July 12, 1937, he was one of six children. Mr. Paul would work for nearly forty years as a truck driver. In his free time, he loved hunting and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed tending his plants and flowers and later in life, ran a produce stand in downtown St. George.
Paul was a member of St. George Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charles “Jack” Suggs, Bonnie Suggs, Rosalee Webb, Elvie Mobley, and Elizabeth Turk; daughter-in-law, Dawn Suggs; children, Ronnie Suggs, Tim Suggs, and Missy Suggs; and his wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth Suggs.
He leaves behind to cherish years of precious memories, his wife of eighteen years, Pamalyn Reddish Suggs of St. George; children, Richard (Kay) Suggs of Alabama, Donnie Suggs of Buckatunna, Mississippi, and Debbie (John) Ferlisi of Jacksonville; step-son, Paul Reddish of Hilliard; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Rodney Norman and Rev. Grady Albritton officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Suggs family during their time of loss.
