Paul Robert Scott

Mr. Paul R. Scott Sr., age 59 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. Originally from New York, Mr. Scott was a thirty five year Baker County resident. He retired from the Florida Department of Corrections and was a manager at the Macclenny Winn Dixie for many years. He was also an expert carpenter known for his meticulous workmanship. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and attending church at Road to Calvary in Glen St. Mary. He loved football and was an avid fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Florida Gators. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his fiance': Connie Trumble of Glen St. Mary; sons: Paul (Larita) Scott Jr., of Macclenny, Matthew (Crystal) Scott of Lake Butler, and Evan Scott of Alachua; daughters: Christina (Ibn) Scott of Lake Butler and Carly Scott of Alachua; step-son: Mark Asbury of Glen St. Mary; sister: Cindy Scott-Wolfe of Jacksonville; and nieces: Kristen Wolfe of Jacksonville and Heather York of Georgia. Ten grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Mary Scott; and brother: Peter Scott. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
