Mrs. Nadine Dopson, age 77 of Macclenny, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. A lifelong Baker County resident, Mrs. Dopson retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital after thirty years of service as both a Unit Coordinator and a Forms Specialist. Upon her retirement from the hospital, she spent some time as a greeter and worked in the fabric department at Walmart. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and decorating. Mrs. Dopson also enjoyed collecting porcelain roosters and bells. She loved her family and took great pleasure in preparing meals for them. She enjoyed attending church at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church where she was a member. She is survived by her daughters: Rosemary (Marty) Farnesi and Teresa (Ricky) Taylor, all of Macclenny; sisters: Margaret (Windell) Kirkland, Virginia (Bobby) Thrift, and Sylvia (Robert) Perdue all of Macclenny, and Robin (Donnie) Mann of Sanderson; granddaughter: Danielle Farnesi of Macclenny; great granddaughter: Madison Finley of Macclenny; and a host of nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunt Diney". She was preceded in death by her husband of forty eight years: Raymond Dopson; parents: Brantley and Mary Jones Humphreys; sister: Vera Mae Crews; and nephews: Arnold Rhoden, Brant Johns, and Stephen Crews. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor David Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the funeral home chapel.
