Myrtie Mae (Raulerson) Griffis

Myrtie Mae Raulerson Griffis, age 85, went to her heavenly home the afternoon of Friday, November 24, 2023 at Vivo Normandy Healthcare.
Myrtie was a native of Macclenny, born May 26, 1938 to Mr. Condy and Molly Raulerson. Before her retirement, she was a custodian for Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She also cleaned homes and businesses in the area.
Those who knew Ms. Myrtie knew she loved people. She was always smiling, one of the things people loved most about her. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Condy and Molly Raulerson; sisters: Joyce Dowdy, Vivian Cox, and Irene Manning; brothers: Jackie Raulerson and Danny Raulerson; and her son: Owen Franklin “Frankie” Griffis.
She is survived by her children: Pamila Kaye (Jerry) Roebuck of Leoma, Tennessee and Aubrey Dean Griffis of Macclenny; grandchildren: Tara (Michael) Pilkinton and Grant (Gracie) Crawford both of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Owen F. (Felicia) Griffis, Kayla (James) Watts, and Brett Griffis all of Live Oak; as well as eleven great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be held in the Chapel of Forbes Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
