Mr. Milton Taylor, age 86 of Taylor, Florida, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Born in Taylor to the late Ernest and Mattie Dowling Taylor, he was a lifelong resident of Baker County. Mr.Taylor was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the former New Congregational Methodist Church of Taylor and was a retired Quality Control Officer at AERO Corporation of Lake City. He was also a charter member and officer of the Traveler's Rest Hunt Club. A master woodworker, he enjoyed building outdoor furniture after his retirement. He loved professional wrestling, Search-a-Word puzzles and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Rodney Taylor of Macclenny, Ricky (Teresa) Taylor and Ronnie Taylor both of Taylor, and Robbie (Kim) Taylor of Glen St. Mary; brother: Frank "One Spot" Taylor of Taylor; sister: Martha Mikell of Ocala; and sister-in-law: Irene Taylor of St. George, GA. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Crews Taylor, son: Randy Taylor and numerous siblings. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Taylor Church, Taylor, Florida with Minister William Green and Pastor Jim Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Taylor Church.
