Ms. Melissa Kay Suggs, age 52, of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Orange Park.
A lifelong Jacksonville resident, she was born on August 31, 1966 to Mr. Paul W. Suggs and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Brady Suggs.
The most important part of Melissa's life was taking care of her son, Johnathan. She also loved spending time with family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed Florida Gator sports.
She is survived by her sons: Johnathan Levister of Jacksonville and Daniel Levister of Ohio; daughter: Nicole Suggs of Jacksonville; father: Paul W.(Pamalyn) Suggs of St. George, Georgia; brothers: Donald (Dawn) Suggs of Waynesboro, Mississippi and Richard (Kay) Suggs of Anniston, Alabama; sister: Debbie (John) Ferlisi of Jacksonville; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Melissa is preceded in death by her mother; and brothers: Timothy Suggs and Ronald Suggs.
A Celebration of Melissa's Life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny, with Rev. Jeff Crawley officiating.
