Matthew Looby

Matthew Joseph Looby, age 23 of Macclenny went to be with his Heavenly Father the morning of Saturday, May 12, 2012. Born in Jacksonville, July 17, 1988, Matthew was an avid Florida Gator fan, loving both football and basketball. He loved all types of music, being on his computer, eating out, and trying new places. He enjoyed spending time with his younger brothers and sisters who adored him. He leaves behind a family who loves him dearly. Survivors include his father: Michael Looby of Macclenny; mother Robin (Ron) Hanlin of Jacksonville; grandparents: Ruth (Mee-Mee) Green of Macclenny and Michael (Kay) Looby Sr. of Dallas, TX; sisters: Brookelyn and Madisyn Looby of Macclenny; brothers: Mason and Jordyn Looby of Macclenny; step-brother: Sean Hanlin of Salt Lake City, Utah; aunts: Alicia Johns of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer Looby of Macclenny and Sue (Mike) Combs of Macclenny; uncle: Bradford Waltman of Taylor, Florida; his cousins, who will miss him dearly: Zachary Johns and Kasen Waters of Tucson, AZ, Olivia Johns, Stephen and Sydney Corbett all of Macclenny. Numerous other family and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his Granny Alberta Pecor. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, where Matthew was a member. Pastors Eddie Griffis and John Raulerson will officiate. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm, Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny.
