Matthew Adrian Hodges, 42 of St. George passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at UF Health Jacksonville.
Matthew was born May 25, 1977 in Jacksonville to Mr. Adrian Hodges and the late Mrs. Linda (Hickox) Hodges. He was a lifelong resident of St. George.
Mr. Hodges worked for several years with AT&T as a line technician. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing and farming. Matthew was a Georgia Bulldogs fanatic, having trivial knowledge of his beloved dog's dating back years. Most important to him though, was his family, especially his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his mother and his sister: Sonya Arnett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years and longtime companion: Mrs. Rebecca Hodges of St. George; sons: Jackson Hodges and Kyle Stokes both of Moniac, and Adam (Kim) Stokes of St. George; daughters: Kelly (Jonathan) West of St. George and Brier Gainey of Moniac; grandchildren: Zain West and Wade Gainey; father: Adrian Hodges of St. George; sister: Candace (John) Rondeau of Orlando; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Memorialization will be by cremation and a celebration of Matthew's life will be held at a later date.
