Mr. Mark Alan Wiles, age 59 of Panacea, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. Mr. Wiles was a twenty year Wakulla County resident coming from Springfield, Missouri. He was a former corrections officer, serving at both Wakulla and Franklin County Departments of Corrections. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Wiles was the owner of the former Coyote Mullet Shuffle Inn in Panacea. He loved music, songwriting, and playing the harmonica. He loved people and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. As a former "Ozarkian", he loved to paddle his canoe down Missouri rivers with his friends, enjoying God's creation. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends, especially his son, Jack, and his dogs, Mutley and Tinker. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years: Mary Jo Wiles; son: Jack A. Wiles of Panacea; brother: Dave Wiles of Westerly, RI; sisters: Linda (Bernard) Hongerloot of Cincinnati, OH, and Diana (Matt) Drake of Freeman, MO; step-mother: Phyllis Mann of Belton, MO and step-sister: Sharon Salley of Vancouver, WA. Numerous other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack Wiles and Colleen Hooton, and his beloved dog, Snickers.
