Louie Posey

Mr. Louie H. Posey, age 84 of Crawfordville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. A lifelong Wakulla County resident, Mr. Posey was born in Medart to the late Raymond and Myrtice Wallace Posey. He was a retired grader operator for the county road department and a member of the Wakulla Moose Lodge 2510. Mr. Posey enjoyed traveling to Biloxi to play the slot machines, playing poker and enjoying meals with his close friends, and going fishing. He is survived by his daughters: Cyndy (Fred) Byler of Altha, Florida, Louise (Casey) Hodges of Crawfordville, and Sheryl (Michael) McElroy of Panacea; step-daughter: Beatrice Montsinger of Spring Creek; brother: Noah (Mildred) Posey of Panacea; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his daughters: Tewana Porter Posey; and second wife: Helen Kilgore Posey. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Medart with Pastor Michael Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Ellen Cemetery.
