Lila Perez Gedvillas

Ms. Lila Perez Gedvillas, age 60 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Ms. Gedvillas had been a Baker County resident since moving from Jacksonville in 1992. She was a retired laboratory technologist with Baptist Health. Ms. Gedvillas was a very giving woman who volunteered as a tutor/mentor to students in the local county schools. The oldest of seven children, she was a loving mother, aunt, sister, and friend. In her spare time, Ms. Gedvillas enjoyed cooking, reading, and attending Native American Pow Wows. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and other intellectual games and puzzles. She is survived by her son: Johnny Perez of Glen St. Mary; brothers: Astro A. Perez Jr. of Jacksonville and James A. (Debra) Perez of Orange Park; and sisters: Lydia A. (David) Boldry of Glen St. Mary, Maria L. Perez and Lauren E. Perez both of Jacksonville, and Cheryl L. Paugh of Glen St. Mary. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Astro A. and Elizabeth M. Joseph Perez Sr. A celebration of her life will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the home of Astro Perez Jr. (7424 Strato Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32210).
