Lawrence Walker

Mr. Lawrence A. Walker age 61, of Macclenny passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Acosta-Rua Center for Caring, surrounded by family. He was a life long resident of Macclenny, and attended the Road to Calvary Church. He was a construction supervisor, a member of the Moose Lodge, and life time member of the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his best friend Russell Norman, he also enjoyed paint and body restoration, fishing, Florida Gator Football, and Racing. Survivors include his son Thomas "Matt" (Christina) Walker, of Macclenny, daughter Tammy (Donald) Parker of Bryceville, his father A.L. "Bo" Walker, of Macclenny, mother Betty Byrd, of Glen St. Mary, step-son Gary (Coleen) Butler of Oveda, FL, brothers Larry (Jean) Walker of North Carolina, John Walker of Macclenny, sister Deborah (Jeff) Bryson of Perry, FL, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Butler Walker, brothers, Mike and Dan Walker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 12 noon in the Road to Calvary Church with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date with Rev. Jeff Bryson officiating.
