Larry Eugene Davis

Mr. Larry Eugene Davis, age 65 of Sanderson, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. Born in Lake City to the late Leslie and Bonnie Alford Davis, Mr. Davis was a lifelong Baker County resident. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He worked for Florida Wire and Cable Company and retired after twenty seven years of employment. Mr. Davis was a NASCAR fan as well as an avid Florida Gator fan. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Matt (Mollie) Davis of Jacksonville and Kegan Davis of Texas; daughter: Callie (Aaron) Crosby of Sanderson; brothers: Roger (Melissa) Davis of Taylor and Allen (Paula) Davis of Sanderson; sisters: Marilyn (Kenny) Barnes of Sanderson, Diane (Mike) Craig of Macclenny and Cheryl Davis of Macclenny; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Angie Davis; son: Lucas Davis; grandson: Luke Crosby; and brother: Dwight Davis. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Monday, September 18, 2017 at the church.
