Mr. Lance Junior Rewis, age 34, of Jacksonville and formerly of Baker County, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014. Mr. Rewis spent most of his childhood in Baker County, and was a student in the Baker County School System and was of the Christian faith. He was an Ironworker and a member of the Iron Workers Union. An outdoors enthusiast, he loved mud-bogging, NASCAR, and Ford trucks. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents: Kevin and June Rewis of Jacksonville; brother: Kyle Rewis of Oldtown, Florida; sisters: Roslyn Ann (Aaron) Slezia of San Diego, CA, and sisters: Kimberly and Bridget; maternal grandmother: Carolyn Adams of Lake City; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his birth mother: Donna Thomley Rewis, maternal grandfather: Ray Thomley; and paternal grandparents: Lonnie "Jr." and Lucille Rhoden Rewis. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Friday, September 5, 2014 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend David Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Florida. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
