Mrs. Kimberly "Kim" Denise Thomas, age 49 of Glen St. Mary, transitioned from this life on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mrs. Kim was born September 12, 1969 to the late Mr. Robert Lee Thomas Sr. and Mrs. Shirley (Stoutamire) Thomas in Jacksonville, Florida.
A lifelong resident of Baker County, Mrs. Thomas worked in the healthcare field for many years and last worked as a home health aide, a job which she took much pride in.
She was an attending member of Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny, as well as the GFWC Woman's Club of Macclenny.
In her free time, Mrs. Thomas enjoyed sewing and watching football, her favorite teams being the Georgia Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints. Most of all, Mrs. Kim was about family. She loved spending time around family, especially her beloved mother and granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter: Jessica Owen of Jacksonville; sons: Garrett Clardy and Kevin Thomas of Glen St. Mary; her mother: Shirley Thomas of Macclenny; sisters: Beverly Allen and Lillian Nixon both of Macclenny; brothers: Lamar (Celena) Farmer and Terry Thomas both of Jacksonville; beloved granddaughter: Peyton Owen of Jacksonville; husband: Nathaniel Lee of Jacksonville; step-sons: Richardo Lee and Antonio Lee both of Lake City; step-daughters: Natasha Odom of Lake Butler, Shamonica Nubin of Ocala, and Naetoya Hayes of Gainesville; best friend: Lakisa Ross; close friends: Nathaniel Monroe and Anthony Johnson; several other family and friends also survive.
She is preceded in death by her father; sisters: Cynthia Gail Larry and Vickie Mejia; and brother Robert Lee Thomas Jr.
A Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Kimberly will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, with Pastor David Thomas and Elder Tony Lane officiating.
