Mrs. Katy Frances Wright, age 74 of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born and raised in south Florida, Mrs. Wright had lived in Jacksonville for the last fifty years. She was an in-home nanny for many years in Baldwin and also worked as a caregiver at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin Daycare Center. Ms. Wright enjoyed taking walks, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She will fondly be remembered for her love of doing laundry. She is survived by her sons: James H. "Bud" (Dean) Wright Jr. of Maxville, Johnny (Tanya) Wright Sr. of Oceanway, James Allen (Alicia) Wright of Franklin, NC, and Jerry Paul Wright of Northway, Alaska; daughters: Joanna Lee Westberry of Jacksonville, Janice M. (Carl) Carbon of Northway, Alaska, and Joyce (Skip) Spann of Jacksonville; grandson and caregiver: Michael Westberry of Jacksonville; and sisters: Dottie (Ben) Driggers and Margie Musselwhite all of Middleburg. Twenty four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: James S. and Erma L. Pylant; husband: James H. Wright, Sr.; son: Jack Wright; daughter: Judy Arterburn; brothers: Herman Pylant and Danny Pylant; and sister: Bobbie Blackburn. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Nolan Ridge Cemetery in Maxville with Reverend Richard Fish officiating.
