Judie Sweat

Ms. Judie A. Sweat, age 71 of Macclenny, went home to Heaven on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Ms. Sweat was born in Ocala, Florida to the late Lawrence and Ruby Palmer. She had a love for flowers and worked for Loop's Nursery and Greenhouses, Inc. of Jacksonville for forty eight years. She was a member of Raiford Road Church in Macclenny and loved her church family. One of her favorite things to do was going on mission trips to Honduras. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her children and all of her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Jody A. (David) Long of Jacksonville, Mickey D. (Steve) Houston, Jimmy Sweat, Paige L. (Rick) Ferguson, and Tim P. (Tammy) Sweat, all of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren: Ashley Houston, Tamara Sweat, Ridge (Jamie) Sweat, Trace Ferguson, Taylor Long, Palmer Ferguson, and Corley Sweat; great-grandchildren: Kelly Harris, Macey Harris, Stihl Sweat, and Saylor Sweat; sisters: Faye Scaglione, Linda Olas, and Pat Beck; brothers: Reggie Horne, Tom Palmer, and Randy Holcomb; and a special niece, Sylvia Miller. Numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive. Ms. Sweat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Walter C. "Dub" Sweat. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Raiford Road Church, with Pastors Johnny Raulerson and Eddie Griffis officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Sanderson.
