Joyce Mary Auger

Joyce Mary Auger, age 58 of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. She was born March 27, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Mr. Michael Bruckner and Mrs. Madeline (Ziarek) Bruckner Carroll. Joyce went on to receive an associate degree from Florida Community College at Jacksonville (now FSCJ) and worked for many years in the healthcare field, notably at the Northeast Florida State Hospital. Mrs. Joyce was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and Baldwin area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed picnics and spending time at the ocean. She enjoyed cooking and was always looking for way to help others. Most important to her were her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years: Mr. Stephen Auger of Jacksonville; son: Nathanael (Kerri) Bruckner of St. Augustine; mother: Madeline Carroll of Macclenny; grandchildren: Emely and Nathanael Bruckner; sisters: Janet Lawson and Maggie Lawson both of Jacksonville; brothers: Michael (Joy) Bruckner of Colorado and Danny Lawson of Jacksonville; niece: Jacklyn Riggs; and great-nieces: Leona Self, Layla Johnson and Jasmine Johnson.

Memorialization will be by cremation and a service will be held at a later date.
