Johnnie “John” Humphries, 87 of Baldwin passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 26, 1932 in Boaz, Alabama to the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Hattie (Boatwright) Humphries. He worked for many years in Alabama as a supervisor for Uniroyal tire and later opened his own business, Humphries Pools and Spas in Wedowee. For the last twenty-seven years, Mr. John had been a resident of Baldwin and attended church at the First Baptist Church of Maxville. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife: Mrs. Patricia Humphries.
He is survived by his daughters: Valerie (Hal) Waite, Karen (Greg) Williams, and Michille Humphries; grandchildren: Kenny (Ashley) Williams, Kerry (Matt) Hogan, Bo (Samantha) Waite, Danielle (Brandon) Ennis, Matthew McManus, and Madison McManus; great-grandchildren: Easton Williams, Kallen Williams, Lily Grace Hogan, Bree Ennis and EmmaLynn McManus; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service to honor Mr. John’s life will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Fish officiating.
