John Francis Lopez

Mr. John F. Lopez Jr., age 50 of Sanderson and formerly of Seffner, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016. A longtime Walmart employee, Mr. Lopez had recently transferred to Baker County to take a position in the Macclenny store. He was a "people" person, never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies, spending time on his porch, and fishing. Mr. Lopez was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Florida Gator fan. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He is survived by: daughter: Marie Lopez of Sanderson; mother: Frances (John) Hum of Plant City; father: John (Nellie) Lopez of California; fiancé: Elizabeth Dye of Sanderson and her children: Kyle (Clare) Dye of St. Augustine and Kristin Dye of Sebring, Florida and sisters: Adel (Tim) Lazzerin of Lakeland, Ruby (Josh) Nelms and Mary (Chris) Jensen all of Plant City, and Jessyca Lopez of California. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members in California also survive. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
