Mr. John C. Conley, age 74 of Crawfordville, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. Mr. Conley has been a Wakulla County resident for fifty four years. He spent many years as a truck driver; driving for Rider Truck Lines, Hall's Trucking, and Seminole Asphalt. Upon his retirement from the trucking industry, Mr. Conley enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid reader and especially loved western novels. He is survived by his sons: Chris Conley (Brenda) of Sopchoppy and Darrell Conley (Danielle) of Crawfordville; daughters: Maxine (Dennis) Hutto of Thomasville, Georgia and Cathy (Mancel) Sherrer of Perry, Florida; father: Ron Conley of Zephyrhills, Florida; and brothers: Ted (Joann) Conley and Gene Conley (Terry) all of Illinois. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, and numerous other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Maxine Conley; sons: Jeff Nichols and L.J. "Jr." Nichols; and mother: Angeline Conley. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Christian Worship Center with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Spring Creek.
