Jodene S. "Jody" Mitz

Ms. Jodene S. "Jody" Mitz, age 67 of St. George, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Ms. Mitz was a longtime Jacksonville resident and a former employee at Michael's Distribution Center before moving to St. George twelve years ago. She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, and playing bingo. She was an avid reader and loved reading to her children while they were growing up. Ms. Mitz will be remembered as a good friend, going out of her way to help anyone who needed it. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters: Shelly (Christopher) Ruiz of Jacksonville and Betty (Asa) Boughton of St. George; sons: Joe T. Mitz and James R. Mitz, both of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd T. Mitz; grandson: Paul A. Ruiz; parents: Joe and Betty Hatfield Moore; brother: David Moore; and sister: Joyce Bickle. No services are planned at this time.
