Jean Molly Murray, age 90, moved on to her next life on Thursday, April 16, 2015. Molly was born in Ilkeston, England, to the late Arthur Donson and Ida Gwendolyn Beardesley Donson, on March 31, 1925. She married Larry, an American paratrooper, and moved to this country after WWII to begin her new life. While raising two children she held many jobs outside the home, including helping her husband for many years run their successful family-owned hardware store. Molly especially enjoyed traveling, making frequent trips back to her beloved home country and, when retired, around the continental U.S. She was a bright woman who always finished the most difficult of the New York Times crossword puzzles. A compassionate individual, Molly put food out for the wild animals every night and enjoyed helping friends and others in need. She was an active lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. Molly was pre-deceased by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Lawrence Murray, and her brother Ray who died at an early age. She is survived by two children, Lawrence Murray of Glastonbury, Connecticut and Patricia Culbertson of Tallahassee, Florida, four grandchildren, Graham Culbertson, Steven Murray, Rhea Oaks and Scott Murray, and one precious great grandchild, Molly Oaks. She also leaves behind many loving friends and devoted caregivers. Services will be held at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, Fleischmann Road, Tallahassee, Florida, on Saturday, May 2 at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that any donations be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida 904-259-4600.
