J.C. Reynolds, age 84, a lifelong resident of Wakulla County, passed away at his home in Panacea on Monday, May 16, 2022 with his family by his side. J.C. was born on October 13, 1937 to the late Mr. Thomas E. and Bertha Mae (Tucker) Reynolds in Smith Creek. Mr. Reynolds was a dedicated husband and father and was the epitome of a family man. He worked for many years as a carpenter, willing to work long hours and do whatever it took to support his family. In his spare time, he loved fishing and being on the water. Mr. Reynolds was a longtime member of Lake Ellen Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty four years: Mrs. Virginia (Randall) Reynolds of Panacea; children: Pamela (Mark Oliver) Reynolds of Smith Creek, Theresa (Joel) Conger of Moultrie, Georgia, Julie (Brent) Reynolds Panasek of Panacea, and Jennifer (Marlon Watson) Reynolds of Pace; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; siblings: Thomas Reynolds of Newnan, Georgia and Merle Eddings of Panacea; as well as numerous extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Panacea First Baptist Church with Rev. B.B. Barwick officiating. Final memorialization will be by cremation.
