James Lee Jesseman

James Lee “Jimmy” Jesseman, 73 of Macclenny passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. A nearly lifelong resident of Baker County, Jimmy was born on November 24, 1951 to Mr. William and Betty (Fish) Jesseman. He would work for the Northeast Florida State Hospital for over thirty years as an electrician. In his freetime, Jimmy was a talented flag-football player and enjoyed camping and boating trips with his friends. He was a member of St. George Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents;siblings, Larry Jones and Nancy Hay; and wife, Renee Jesseman.

He leaves behind to cherish years full of memories, his wife, Lesa Jesseman of Macclenny; children, Tim Jesseman of Michigan, Chris (Carissa) Jesseman of Virginia, Steve Jesseman of Michigan; adopted children, Cary Starling and Klate Jesseman; step-children, Tiffany Hall, Rebekah Waters, Rachiel Canaday, Joshua Canaday, Jacob Powell, Vince McDuffie, Bryan McDuffie, and Misti McDuffie; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, William Jesseman of Macclenny and Mary Rourke of North Carolina; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. George Church of God.
