James Dimattia

James Joseph DiMattia, age 57 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013. Originally from New Jersey, Mr. DiMattia had lived in the area for the last twenty five years. After retiring from the United States Navy, he worked locally at the Walmart Distribution Center. He enjoyed fishing and camping, motorcycling and sport shooting, music, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son: James (Brittany) DiMattia; daughters: April (Jeffery) Hillen, Angela DiMattia, and Brittany DiMattia all of Jacksonville; sister: Madelyn DiMattia of Miami. Three grandchildren also survive. A memorial service with military honors will be held 2:00pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Fish officiating.
