James Addison

Mr. James W. Addison, age 72 of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Mr. Addison was born in Raiford, Florida to the late Johnnie and Clarice Dees Addison. He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed wrestling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends and his cats. He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Addison; daughters: Teresa Gary and Kim Addison of New Iberia, LA and Belinda Acosta of Jacksonville; brothers: Dillard (Patricia) Addison of Wilmington, DE and Daniel (Aldina) Addison of Pineville, MO; sisters: Mavis Dowling of Glen St. Mary and Pat Ball of Lake Butler. Six grandchildren and numerous other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William Addison, Melvin Addison, and Joseph Addison, sisters: Melverna Tubberville and Phyllis Williams; and granddaughter: Brittany Gary. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00am, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Swift Creek Cemetery, Lake Butler, Florida with Reverend Albert Starling officiating.The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida.
