J Davis

Mr. JJ Davis, age 78 of Macclenny, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013. A lifelong resident of Baker County; Mr. Davis was born in Sanderson to the late Guilford and Rosetta Williams Davis. A retired truck driver, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife: Jean Davis; sons: Bruce Stafford and Kenny Daniels; daughters: Dawn Kirkland, Sylvia "Robin" Davis, Donna Kay Miller, and Tammy Kierl; brothers: Harmon "Boot" Davis and Lester "Bud" Davis; sisters: Louise Dinkins, Annie Ruth Combs, Edith Young, and Ila Taylor. Numerous stepchildren and step grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two infant sons; brothers: Robert "Bob" Davis, Ralph "Red" Davis, and Lewis Davis; and sister: Pencie Nipper. Funeral services will take place 11:00am, Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Reverends Robert Watson and Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Friday, August 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
