Horace Burnham

Mr. Horace Burnham Sr., age 88 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. Mr. Burnham was born in Bonifay, Florida to the late Rufus and Ellar White Burnham. A sixty five year Baker County resident, he spent many years working for the Baker County School Board and the City of Macclenny. He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church at Community Full Gospel Church in Glen St. Mary, where he was a member. Mr. Burnham was a wonderful family man and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed singing, fishing, and farming. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sons: Horace (Lorie) Burnham Jr. and Timmie (Cheryl) Burnham, all of Glen St. Mary; daughters: Elouise (Robert) Moore of Glen St. Mary, Marline (Jimmy) Walker of Taylor, Myrtle (Erwin) Taylor and Melissa (Tommy) Richardson, all of Glen St. Mary; and sister: Susanna Holman of Graceville, Florida. Nineteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bulah M. Burnham; son: Billy Joe Burnham; great granddaughter: Garlen Mae Gray and great grandson: Liam Jace Meyer. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church, Sanderson, Florida with Reverend David Thomas and Pastor Oral Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Glen St. Mary. The family will receive friends 5-7:00pm, Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church.
