Henry Forbes

Henry M. Forbes Sr., age 75 of Crawfordville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. A lifelong resident of Wakulla County, Henry was well known for traveling, singing and playing music. He was a precinct clerk for the Supervisor of Elections and a retired bookkeeper. He was an avid Florida State Seminole fan who loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son: H. M. "Hank" (Dana) Forbes Jr. of Macclenny, Florida; daughter: Denise Forbes Forehand of Tallahassee; Kimmie Carmen; grandchildren: Ryan Forehand, Hawke Forbes, Jillian Hill, and Amy Hume; two great grandchildren; sister: Lila Ruth (Othan) Porter of Crawfordville. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Burton and Elza Martin Forbes; brothers: Walter Forbes and Martin Forbes; and sister: Lois Forbes Council. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Christian Worship Center, Crawfordville, with Pastor Steve Taylor and Reverend Michael Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Crawfordville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Christian Worship Center.
