Helen Posey

Helen Louise Kilgore Posey, age 67 of Crawfordville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015. A lifelong Wakulla County resident, Mrs. Posey was a retired custodian with the Wakulla County School System. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and crabbing, and camping. She was a charter member of the Wakulla Moose Lodge 2510 and loved to play bingo. She loved spending time with family and friends, and especially loved traveling to Mississippi with her husband. She is survived by her husband of forty years: Louie Posey of Crawfordville; daughter: Beatrice Motsinger of Crawfordville; step-daughters: Cindy (Fred) Byler of Altha, Florida, Louise (Casey) Hodges of Crawfordville, and Cheryl "Peewee" (Michael) McElroy of Panacea; brother: Horace Kilgore of Tavares, Florida; dear friend: MaryAnn Taylor of Panacea; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Walter Kilgore, Howard Kilgore, Arthur "Tiny" Kilgore, George Kilgore, Johnny Kilgore, Jim Kilgore, and Kenny "Skinner" Kilgore and sisters: Margaret Taylor and Dora Mae "DeDe" Kilgore. Graveside services will be held 2:30pm, Friday, October 2, 2015 at Panacea Cemetery with Reverend B.B. Barwick officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 1:30pm.
